cyanotype is non-toxic and is a mixture of ferric ammonium citrate & potassium ferricyanide. due to the nature of this process, colors may change and fade over time. avoid washing with bleach or soaps containing phosphates and sodiums. hand wash or delicate cycle is always preferred. if colors fade dramatically, sometimes soaking in diluted hydrogen peroxide can bring the vibrancy back into the blues.
